They share their true local Stockholm tips and welcome the guests as their own friends”, Eva Kalling-Hansson explains.
Welcoming the Locals to Stockholm
The development of the new design concept and interior was led by the acclaimed architectural studio Wingårdhs. Focus has been to bring the unique details of the historic building to light again and to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The interior color scheme is based on the shades of the natural materials that has been used in the renewal process like stone, wood, leather, metal, and plaster. The basic is set against more well-defined elements like saturated colors of details, furniture, woodwork and textiles.
“The key words for the original architecture were constructive honesty and natural materials – a tradition that we wanted to embrace and pass on. We believe in creating a dynamic experience by leveraging and enhancing the building’s character as a sober foundation and adjust it against the elements of value-added features and new additions that add variety and new experiences,” says Gert Wingårdh.
